Staff

Our Matron and Registered Manager is Mrs Shirley Archer who is a qualified nurse. She leads a team of professional nurses, carers, housekeeping and maintenance staff.

Our diversional therapist organises the many social activities that residents can enjoy. The patient services staff work closely with the diversional therapist and take time to help new residents settle in. They ensure that the housekeeping service runs smoothly and that the lovely environment is well maintained.

The highly experienced team of chefs supported by the other catering staff prepare all the meals in our modern kitchen. The special lunches and garden party teas are much enjoyed.

We are committed to providing the best possible training to all our staff. All our nurses keep up to date with a mixture of in house and external training. Care staff receive comprehensive induction and training under the Skills for Care programme and are encouraged to obtain national qualifications such as NVQs in Care or Health and Social Care.

We are proud of our caring and considerate staff, many of whom have worked here for a number of years.

Careers:- Are you interested in starting a new career in care or are you considering returning to the care setting from another field of work? Perhaps you are a carer or a nurse moving into the area or you would like a change. Whatever the reason, why not give us a ring and arrange to visit the nursing home and have a look around and talk to our friendly staff.

RGN:- We are currently looking to appoint an RGN for night shifts. Bricklehampton Hall is an excellent place to work with a first class team. The work is rewarding and our pay rates are very good. We would love to hear from you if you are an RGN looking to work either full or part time.

Care Assistants:- As a large number of care assistants work at the home, vacancies arise from time to time. The work is interesting and rewarding and our rates of pay are very good. We pay more to care assistants with NVQ level 2. We provide full training and we encourage and support all care assistants to obtain their NVQ.

Please call us if you are interested in working either full or part time. If we have no vacancies when you call, you are more than welcome to come and have a look around. If you like the home, we can put you on a waiting list and contact you when a vacancy occurs.

Contact:- Please telephone Nicky Haines, our Bursar, on 01386 710573 and arrange a visit. We would be very pleased to see you.
