Having taken advice and bearing in mind the current situation, we have decided to stop visitors from coming into Bricklehampton Hall. This is to protect yourselves and the staff. At present we have no-one with the virus in the home, so whilst this may appear extreme, we need to exercise caution.

People visiting the home will be restricted to health professionals that need to be here, ie, GP's,etc. Non-essential outpatient appointments will be cancelled and rebooked.

We know that this is a worrying time for everyone involved, but we are doing out best to lessen the impact to the resident and the staff. If you do have any concerns please speak to Shirley Archer, the Manager.

There are various communication methods that can be used to contact your friends and family, such as, telephone, Skype and Facetime, which we can assist with.

We thank you for your understanding and patience.

Bricklehampton Hall
Nursing Home

Bricklehampton Hall Nursing Home is centred round an elegant Regency style House built in 1848 in a park land setting and enjoying views over some of Worcestershire's finest scenery. It is a home of great character, standing in almost thirty acres of grounds and landscaped gardens and creating just the right blend of care, companionship and comfort. Although in a rural location, the Home is easily accessible from Worcester, Pershore, Evesham, Winchcombe and Cheltenham.

The Nursing Home is a blend of elegant living with modern nursing facilities and equipment. It is built on two floors and all the rooms are accessible by wheel chair. There are three large reception rooms overlooking the grounds and Bredon Hill.

There is a variety of bedrooms to choose from, as we provide both single and double rooms, most with en-suite toilets. Bedrooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard and are equipped with telephones and digital televisions with Freeview. Residents are encouraged to bring their own pictures and ornaments to make the room really their own.

We offer residents a choice of menus and we cater for special diets. A variety of activities and social events are arranged for residents by our diversional therapist. We have a Hairdressing Salon with a qualified hairdresser to ensure that residents are always looking their best. The Home also has two Arjo Therapy Baths which residents very much enjoy.

At Bricklehampton Hall we firmly believe in, and provide, an individual approach to nursing care. Our philosophy is that residents should feel at home and that they treat Bricklehampton Hall as their home. We therefore encourage our residents to choose their own daily routine and we welcome family involvement and, hence, we have no set visiting times. We respect individuality and privacy and will recognise and adhere to these principles at all times.

We are fully committed to planning care on an individual basis. Mrs Archer, the Manager, is always available to discuss individual needs and requirements. Our aim at Bricklehampton Hall is to achieve a high quality of care to meet the daily needs of each individual resident and to maintain their physical and emotional well-being, with respect and dignity.

Bricklehampton Hall is registered as a Care Home with Nursing by the Care Quality Commission(CQC). You are welcome to read the recent CSC inspection report at the home when you visit. Alternatively you can view all recent inspection reports for the home by clicking on the link below to access the CSC web site.

Philosophy of Care
We believe that each person in our care is a unique individual who should be supported in making choices about all daily living activities. We aim to promote independence and to provide opportunities for each person to maintain as much control over his or her daily life as possible.

This means that residents can decide when to get up and when to go to bed; whether to remain in their rooms or whether to join others for meals, company or diversional activities. Residents can select their food from a wide choice and are encouraged to offer their visitors refreshments.

Family and friends are made welcome in the Home at any time and are encouraged to participate in social events and diversional sessions, such as singing.

Everyone involved in the care of residents is expected to adopt a polite and respectful approach to them; always ensuring that they know how the person prefers to be addressed. We seek to maintain the dignity of patients at all times, ensuring that care is always given in privacy and that confidentiality is respected.

Our residents are encouraged to move around freely to maintain their independence in mobility and self-care. The purpose of this approach, together with the risks identified for the individual person, is documented on the care plan and discussed with the relatives by the trained nurse.

Diversional activities, both in groups and individually are made available for everyone to chose from.We are committed to providing a safe, comfortable and friendly home in which people have opportunities to benefit physically, mentally and socially.
